Mainland Youth Flag Football is run by the Linwood Board of Recreation and a committed group of volunteer parents that share the same vision and goal. We are dedicated to the development of the sport of flag football from kindergarten through 10th grade.  We strive to teach and enhance the fundamentals of the sport at the youth level so players may develop a life-long love of the game.  We offer opportunities to participate and advance in the sport for youth recreational and competitive players.

Our recreational (or "Rec") flag football program is open to every child wanting to play flag football from all towns. It is designed to provide a fun atmosphere, where players can both learn the game and develop the skills necessary to play it well, with an emphasis on having fun.  The philosophy of rec is to create a fun environment that players learn the basics of flag football, rules and teamwork. Rec flag football is a great opportunity for beginners and experienced players who want limited competition and a more relaxed atmosphere with an emphasis on having fun.
